Ezekiel 38-39 Update (pt.2)

In the first part of this update, we looked at the Invasion and began to discuss the Destruction. The Destruction refers to what God is going to do to the armies that will one day attempt to invade and destroy Israel. God Himself will intervene and destroy these armies on the mountains of northern Israel. Why will God display so much wrath and fury against these nations? Many believe it is because the nations that Ezekiel mentions are some of the nations that have been responsible for the persecution and martyrdom of millions of God’s people for the past two thousand years. The intervention of God will be the only explanation for how Israel will be able to survive this threat.

Finally, in Ezekiel 39, we see The Restoration. God states in His Word that He is going to do these things for His glory. In Ezekiel 39:21-22 we read, “I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgement which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them.(Israel’s enemies) So shall the house of Israel know that I am the Lord their God that day forward.” Many believe that this will be the beginning of the majority of the Jews turning back to faith in God. It very well could be the beginning of a national revival.

I do not believe that the events in the middle east, as of March, 2026, are the fulfillment of these prophecies. However, I do believe the current events are a major step toward their fulfillment. Only God knows the timing and the specifics of how He is going to fulfill His Word regarding these things. As for us who know the Lord, we need to understand that we may very well be in the latter part of the last days. We need to pray for peace. We need to be faithful to the Lord in all things. And, we need to have a burden and an urgency to share the Gospel like never before. Even if the Lord does not return for another one hundred years or more, there are multitudes who go into eternity without Christ. There are people who you personally know who need Jesus. Let us do all we can to bring them to Christ before these events come to pass. Let me remind you of the main purpose of Bible prophecy-“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”(Revelation 19:10) In other words, the whole point of Bible prophecy is to point people to Jesus. May the Lord bless you.
